Why you need to stay at the Quirk Hotel Charlottesville, VA

Sharing is caring!

On my recent trip to Charlottesville, VA I had the opportunity to stay at one of the cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed at – The Quirk Hotel Charlottesville. Not only is it super cute, but it’s also got such kind staff, great food, comfy beds, and a view you’ll love right near downtown.

The first thing you have to know about the Quirk Hotel is that it is just so freakin cute. I want to say pink is kind of the theme but it goes beyond that. It’s got a bright, fun, and quirky (get it?!) vibe to it, making it the perfect spot to stay while in Charlottesville. I couldn’t stop taking pictures because it was just so adorable!

It’s more than just a place to stay when you choose this hotel! They created the space with a modern style that still feels like it fits in perfectly with the historic downtown where you’ll want to spend a lot of time. I loved how open and airy it felt as we walked in, which makes you feel comfortable right away. You can tell they thought of every detail as they were designing it.

A special thank you to the Quirk Hotel Charlottesville for hosting me during my visit. As always, all thoughts are my own.

The Room

During our stay, we had a king room right on the third floor. The room was spacious with recently updated features. With tall ceilings and plenty of space to spread out in the room, it felt nice and comfortable. I love a big hotel room!

Every one of their 80 rooms features the original work of several different artists. Giving each space you stay in a unique look and feel. The color pops throughout the room are sure to make you smile.

The bathroom felt modern and fun. There were all the little amenities you need and I really appreciate that Quirk always makes sure there are extra special touches like the diffuser and makeup wipes. We also loved the bathroom tile and lighting as well.

Our king room had a hair dryer, steamer, mirror perfect for make up touches, space for hanging clothing, sitting area, and a table area.

The Food

Quirk Hotel Charlottesville has several different options for food, depending on what you are looking for.

First, they have a full restaurant with a menu, Pink Grouse. With food inspired by the Virginia country side, it’s food offers you a taste of comfort with an upscale twist. They also have a children’s menu available for those traveling with family! Open Thu – Sat  5:30PM – 9:30PM

A coffee shop and bakery is also on sight called Quirk Cafe. You can stop by during the day for your coffee fix, breakfast, or just a quick bite to eat. Open Daily 7:00AM – 1:00PM

They also have a Lobby Bar with snacks and drinks available. If you’re staying on the Thursday, you’ll find happy hour happening at this bar as well with drink and food specials. Open Thursday 3:00PM – 10:00PM, Fri-Sat 4:00PM – 12:00AM

Their last, and my favorite, option is the Q Rooftop. Their rooftop has an amazing view! Charlottesville is right by the Blue Ridge Mountains and you’re guaranteed to find great drinks, good food, and views here. The bar is also on theme and really cute. We enjoyed some of their signature drinks (I got the Pink Grouse) and the view during our trip. Open Sun-Thu 4:00PM – 11:00PM, Fri-Sat 4:00PM – 12:00AM

The Amenities

In addition to all the food options you have, there are other amenities offered by the Quirk Hotel Charlottesville. The Quirk Hotel offers something I find really cool – an art gallery with rotating artists who showcase their work in the beautiful gallery there. It was a great stroll with our morning coffee at the hotel.

You will also find a full gym with the equipment you need to have a nice workout while there.

Another favorite of mine was stopping by the store for some really funky and fun shopping curated to fit the feel of the hotel. There were so many cute things in this shop, I wanted to buy everything while I was there!

Self Parking and valet are both available options for you on your stay. They use a really cool online system that only requires you sending a text message when you’d like your car from the valet. You receive a confirmation and then another text once your car is ready so no sitting, wondering and waiting for your car!

The Staff

As we were checking in we were greeted with kind smiles and upbeat staff. You could tell they were genuinely interested in helping you out and were having a good time working together. Every interaction with staff involved a professional who was happy to help.

They were also ready to help with recommendations on where to go, what to eat, and how to navigate around town. Those insider tips are always welcome when traveling!

We really loved how helpful they were and accomodating of pets, families, and all types of travelers. It was so nice to have such great interactions with people.

The Location

We loved the location of the Quirk Hotel Charlottesville. Since it’s located in the historic downtown, we were able to easily get everywhere we wanted and get out of town quickly too!

We walked to dinner and our show on the Downtown Mall. We walked to IX Art Park for some fun at the farmers market and Looking Glass on Saturday morning. Having somewhere to call home base while traveling that’s close to everything is so nice.

The other thing about the location beyond it’s convenience to town was it’s view of the mountain and town from the rooms and rooftop. We loved seeing the mountains clearly each day and enjoying the view. It was an excellent location!

There’s no better spot to stay in town than at the Quirk Hotel Charlotteville! You’ll love this hotel and the chance to stay here really is a treat. We had a great time and you will too.
